Security Training, Gurdwara Sahibs – London East – Barking & Seven Kings

Uncategorized

As part of Strengthening Faith Institutions (SFI) continuous partnership with Touchstone Security Solutions and City Sikhs, a Safety and Security Training workshop was delivered at Singh Sabha London East (Seven Kings). Members of all faith communities across the United Kingdom deserve to be able to safely practice their faith in their place of worship. The increasing prevalence of religiously motivated hate crimes by 40% over the last year means that members of faith groups must ensure their places of worship are safe.

Seven Kings Gurdwara is located on the High Road between Seven Kings and Goodmayes Main line railway Stations. The building was originally used as a British Telecom Exchange and was converted into a Temple during 1990’s. The Gurdwara offers a number of services daily and all community members are welcome. The range of community activities provided include Punjabi lessons, Library, Gym and fitness classes, Yoga for men and women, Gatka (martial art) and Kirtan music. The NHS and the local police hold regular sessions to provide health services and police advice surgeries.
